We are writers who specialize in business communication. Trained as journalists, we have worked in print, broadcast, and online media. We conduct our own interviews and research, and use our journalism skills—gathering facts, clarifying ideas, and telling stories—to help businesses communicate effectively.

CLAYTON BENNETT

Clayton Bennett writes marketing and advertising copy for clients in manufacturing, high technology, health care, financial services, and other industries. He handles projects that combine marketing and technical communication, from policy guides to white papers to online help systems. He combines factual precision with forceful persuasion.

Bennett approaches every project with strategy in mind. He provides planning and writing services for internal corporate communications, integrated sales and marketing, human resources and legal communications, internet and intranet web site development, and written and visual standards for brand management. To him, all business communication should reinforce a company’s image and purpose.

JOHN SCULLIN III

John Scullin III has worked within corporate departments, through agencies, and as an independent contractor. As a result, he can view any project from several angles. With a background in journalism and broadcasting, Scullin knows how to get right to the point.

He has written and edited materials for clients in manufacturing, health care, high technology, telecommunications, insurance—even playground equipment. Scullin can create written content of all kinds for print and electronic media, and for a wide variety of audiences. He translates complex concepts into simple language with a strategic focus.

In addition to his work as a writer, Scullin has experience in account management and client service. With his excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, he is an able, detail-oriented project manager. He holds a degree in English from the University of Minnesota.

ALICIA CONROY

Alicia Conroy is a senior communicator with experience in biomedical, scientific, and higher education institutions. She served as a PR specialist at a community/teaching hospital affiliated with Harvard Medical School, as a science specialist in the news bureau of Brandeis University, and as Director of Public Affairs at Schepens Eye Research Institute, another Harvard affiliate.

Conroy has edited, written and produced employee and medical staff publications, community newsletters and magazines, annual reports, features, press kits, releases, and white papers. She has also handled governmental relations and special events. Her placements include local and national print and broadcast media.

Holding a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and a master’s degree from Bowling Green State University, Conroy is also an award-winning author of short fiction.
